Anybody seen a way to test this easily in Arch?
repo/PKGBUILDs?

I think before changing to KDE4, the ARCH TUs will make (as it was with other kde versions) a larger public test, but i dont really expect pkgbuilds for more than less a tech preview / alpha version.
I'd also wait until it's available as a release candidate... we'll get our hands on kde4 early enough
.
Ability is nothing without opportunity.

Yeah, this KDE release looks exactly like KDE 3.5, apparently, and is done for developers who want to be able to explore what developing on KDE 4 will be like.

I'd like to try Krash. I'm very intersted in speedup (should be already noticable because of qt4). I'm quite surprised that arch community is not interested. We always test everyting that is unstable without hesitation - XGL, xorg etc.
Can we be after kubuntu:

?

It's not that I would not like to test it, it's more that I have not enough time to create PKGBUILDs, build them, solve issues, patch sources, etc etc
IMO it takes more time than it is worth

Indeed. I understand - I have the same problem. Oh ... and not enough free CPU cycles.

It's better to wait for a stable qt4.2 and then build kde4 from svn. Krash is just a snapshot, nothing more.
