Hi, my system has been running perfect for 6 months or so. Suddenly today I booted up and after grub would just get a "No signal" on my monitor.
Im running an AMD RX590.
Tried nomodeset and managed to boot but couldn't start xorg. Xorg complained about no screens.
Did a system upgrade, ensured mesa and the like were all installed. Still the same problem.
After a bit of trial and error I managed to get it running again with amdgpu.dc=0 as an option in the grub cfg.
Just looking for a bit of advice or an explanation as to why this is required, or if I could be just masking a problem.
Not really sure of what logs I should be looking at either.
