I've been running arch in a VM for a while and decided to install it as my primary OS. One thing i didn't encounter in the VM is that my mouse would cause an issue.
I have a 'Logitech, Inc. PowerPlay Wireless Charging System' attached via usb, which acts as a receiver for my G903 mouse while it charges the mouse.
the device does not work (no buttons or cursor movment) lsusb shows this device as:
Bus 009 Device 012: ID 046d:c53a Logitech, Inc. PowerPlay Wireless Charging System
If I directly connect the usb to the mouse (bypassing the powerplay receiver / charger) the mouse works correctly and is identified by lsusb as
Bus 009 Device 011: ID 046d:c091 Logitech, Inc.
Any suggestions on how to make the 'powerplay' receiver / charger work?
if it helps, fresh install with xorg & gnome today

Please wrap outputs in [ code ] [ /code ] tags without the spaces
Power play needs a different driver than the generic usb HID but FWIW my G903 works just fine (... same usb id same lsusb output). Can you post
sudo lsusb -t
dmesg | grep logitech
lsmod | grep logitechis linux-firmware installed?

Yes linux-firmware is installed
One other thing of note, I use an ADDER CCS-PRO4 KVM (https://www.adder.com/en/kvm-solutions/adder-ccs-pro4) which, as per the OP, passes the device through unmodified

the hidpp driver is not loaded for some reason, can you force that?
sudo modprobe hid_logitech_hidpp? Does this work differently if you don't go via the KVM?
Offline
Thanks for the help!
Modprod didn't fix anything... ran the command unplugged, waited, replugged... nothing.
Yes, it works if I bypass the KVM (which is not a viable long term option,*sigh*).
FYI: The KVM setup works through windows on multiple PCs (Yeah, i know... but at least i know it's not some Hardware related issue.)
With the powerplay directly attached to the PC (bypassing the KVM) it works... progress, maybe? Her's what it looks like in this setup
