AUR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!

Hello,

I did a fresh install of Arch yesterday. Now I'm trying to install Spotify from AUR. I'm not using Yay or any other AUR helper. When I was running

makepkg -si

, I'm getting this error

One or more files did not pass the validity check!

. Please help me with that.

You should always read the AUR comments, on a popular package like spotify it's almost guaranteed that someone ran into the same issue and looked at the problem if it's a widespread issue: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/spot … ent-769469
