Hi all. I didn't post this in the 'newbie' section as I'm not after help (yet).
It took me about three installs to work out I didn't know what I was doing so I decided to read the articles in the wiki and the installation help. It then installed fine without a hitch.
I am a relatively new linux user but I don't like the 'hand holding' distros.
I've managed to install and configure the majors (with the help of the wiki): alsa, xorg and gnome. Aswell as other little gems such as xmms, imwheel, numlockx etc.
I must say that it's easier than slackware but only in just the right places. I hope to enjoy using it.
Thanks.

lol. Only thing I could think of at the time and it seemed appropiate.
Thanks for the welcome guys.
I must say there's a lot of info in the wiki. At least enough to get a highly usable and enjoyable system up and running.
