Font doesn't look good

Hi guys,

I have talked with someone and this person told me my font doesn't look good and I should do this command

sudo ln -s /etc/fonts/conf.avail/11-lcdfilter-default.conf /etc/fonts/conf.d/11-lcdfilter-default.conf

I as a still relative noob in Arch am not sure what this command does but this person sounded trustworthy so I did this it, I hope I didn't do anything bad. What do you guys think? This person told me there was a Freetype update in Arch recently but I didn't see it anywhere.

Re: Font doesn't look good

What now? Does the font actually not look good or did you just trust this random person that your fonts don't look good ? If you don't notice a difference why do you care?

In general running commands without knowing what they are doing is a big no, based on context what that person told you is indeed correct and there's unlikely to be a negative fallout from the suggestion, but you really need to double check things like these yourself.

So to find out what the command did you should read through https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo … figuration in particular the presets and the LCD filter subsections.
