Getting my mic working

I have a Lenovo x1 yoga gen 4 and the microphone doesn't work. pavucontrol and gnome audio controls show no microphone at all.

Is there some way I can link the 0x19 mic device? I have been experimenting with the bass speaker on this laptop, and I know I can link it by doing this:

# hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x17 SET_CONNECT_SEL 1

So could I do something similar with the microphone to make it work? I've looked at every post about this and the x1 carbon gen 7 which is almost identical to my laptop, and nothing is working.

Just for anybody with the X1 Yoga Gen 4 or the X1 Carbon Gen 7, make sure you're on the regular kernel for proper audio, and install sof-firmware and linux-firmware.
