trident video driver problem after xorg 7.1.1 upgrade

I am running a Toshiba Portage R100 laptop with trident video driver. Now, my xorg-server and mouse, kbd, and video driver have all been upgraded to the newest version in current.
Before the upgrades, the option "ShadowFB" must be set to "true", otherwise the screen scroll would be very slow and even some lines disappeared. However, after my upgrades, this option cause the problem if it is set to "true". When i run "startx", X can start and KDE can start too, but the screen displays nothing except a mouse cursor. I can not see the KDE desktop, actually, I can only see the black  screen. I thought it was caused by "ShadowFB" option, so i set it to "false" ( or delete the whole option line), and X and KDE started normally. Now, I have another problem -- slow screen scrolling.
Doesn't the new trident driver support the option "ShadowFB"???

Re: trident video driver problem after xorg 7.1.1 upgrade

I have the exact same problem on my R100. Downgraded to Xorg 7.0, but it's not really a solution in the long run.

I'll have a look at it again when I get the time. Let me know if you find any solution.

I have the problem, the old and used-to-work xorg.conf seems broken with new xorg, but f don't have "ShadowFB" option in my xorg.conf, weird.
