Installing Arch on Hetzner - Hangs on boot

EDIT:  I fixed this issue by installing syslinux.  But now it's trying to mount the wrong partition on real root.  How can I change that?

I just tried to install arch on Hetzner, but it hangs here:

I tried various grub settings, like removing quiet, adding debug.  But it won't boot.
I can still chroot into the system using the arch installation media.  So there's stuff installed on the disk for sure

Hetzner servers have AMD EPYC CPUs, if that helps
