KDE Light

Is there a way of installing a lighter version of KDE on ArchLinux?  Last time I tried installing KDE on ArchLinux, it had way to much extra junk I don't need.  And also, for some reason all packages are dependent on each other.  So I can't just select kdebase, kdelibs, etc.

Re: KDE Light

There is no official way of doing this. Of course you can just install kdebase, which gives you basic kde. Though you may need packages from other kde packages as well.
If you don't want to install those completely, you can compile your own packages without the stuff you need. There is also someone who did this already and made a repo for this. Search the forum for this.
