Dual boot with Windows on separate drives

Hello,

I am planning to install Windows 10 alongside my Arch installation on a separate drive. I see on the wiki page that there are instructions for installing Windows on the same drive, either before or after Arch, but I do not see any information regarding installing Windows on a separate drive within the same machine. Are there any specific instructions that can help me here? I have used the UEFI/GPT layout.

Re: Dual boot with Windows on separate drives

Not really, one thing you might have to be weary of is that some UEFIs do not support multiple ESPs (... even though they should) so you might want to share an ESP on one drive for the Windows bootloader and whatever bootloader you decide for on Arch. after that it's just a matter of specifying your partitions/UUIDs properly and from that aspect shouldn't matter which drive what resides on.

I'd say install Win10 first and reuse the ESP and then setup Arch as normal.

I will give this a try, and if I run into any issues, I will report back. Thank you.
