I want to ask if Arch linux has any specific kernel for Intel's core duo and core 2 duo or any other multicore processors like Fedora's smp kernel.
Offline
the standard kernel package is compiled with smp support. For the specific core duo support you have to wait (I hope...) for the next kernel release

In Arch, the packages you download and install using pacman are compiled for the i686 architecture. You have the option, however, of compiling, on your own, any and all packages you want. So if you want to compile a package specifically for core duo, you have that option. But, as was mentioned earlier, Arch is already supports SMP by default --- meaning that if you did a typical installation of Arch on a core duo, then your kernel and other smp-aware software would support and use both cores
Sweet, now I can play with myself.
