5GHz wifi in Intel AC7260 stops working on Latest/LTS kernels

Hi,

My laptop(Lenovo Y50-70) has Intel AC7260 Wifi card installed on it. For about 1.5 months now I am having problems with 5ghz wifi on this machine. I have tried the latest kernels and LTS kernels AND kernels that were about 2-3 months old and this problem is now happening everywhere.

When I am connected to a 5ghz wifi network, It'll work for some random amount of time and then something in iwlwifi crashes. Then, wifi doesn't work at all(i.e. I can't connect/disconnect scan any wifi network). The only resolution to this is to reboot the machine. So far, I have sort of sidestepped the problem by only using 2.4ghz wifi since the router is sitting 10 feet away from me but I would really love to get this problem fixed. Ethernet is not an option since this laptop had a spring mechanism that holds the ethernet endpoint in place but I broke it few years back so ethernet cables pretty much can't be plugged into this laptop.

I have tried to find resolutions for this on my own but I have not found even anyone discussing this issue. So, Any help is much appreciated.
