When does it start to updatedb?
I find my system runs updatedb automatically,
Where can I change this setting?

It's in /etc/cron* somewhere... I think it's daily.

As root :
$ crontab -lThe updatedb rule is in /etc/cron.daily/updatedb.

or you can try rlocate (it's in AUR) so that you won't need to run updatedb every now and then 
what goes up must come down
