Logitech G502 usb mouse not detected.

Hello,

For the last few days my right click didn't work, so I unplugged the mouse and plugged it back in, but now it's not being detected at all. I've not set up a Xorg config file ever. I've got three monitors, so I think I'd have to go through some learning curve, and since it's worked without needing a config file I assume it should continue that way... Here's some output:

Whatever other output is useful I will send along. I am seeing that hotplugging is disabling Mouse0, but also that my logitech mouse is not being detected, whereas before it was. As you can see I've already downgraded my kernel to 5.8.4. The problem existed with the newest zen kernel too. The problem didn't exist when I had 5.8.4 in the past, so I don't think it's the kernel. It might be a xorg update, but there are so many dependencies for Xorg that I'm scared of breaking my system by downgrading...

edit: Another mouse works. I think that the issue is with xinit. I'm going to wait until a new version is released, update, and try again. Will report here.
Thanks

This sounds more like a failing hardware - mouse switches don't work forever. Test the mouse on another machine.

Re: Logitech G502 usb mouse not detected.

xinit has absolutely no relation to anything that happens once xorg is started. if it's not the kernel and indeed not a hw issue, another potential culprit would be new libinput versions
