[SOLVED] Bluetooth headphones don't connect until I launch pavucontrol

This is more of a minor annoyance than an actual problem, but I would be interested to know the cause of it anyway. Basically, when I first boot up my laptop (HP Envy x360 AMD version) and start the graphical environment, I want to immediately connect my bluetooth headphones (MPOW H19 IPO). The headphones are usually powered off, so I turn them on and start the "pairing" phase. But the headphones hang in "pairing" and don't actually connect until I (1) manually connect in bluetoothctl or (2) simply launch pavucontrol. And after I have opened pavucontrol once to initially pair them, even if I turn off my headphones and close pavucontrol, as long as I don't turn off my laptop, the headphones will connect automatically less than a second after the "pairing" phase. It would be nice for them to be able to connect post-startup without any extra steps.

How are you starting your graphical environment? This simply sounds like pulse isn't started yet and then gets invoked through socket invocation by pavucontrol.

Thank you. I am logging in on a tty and starting the graphical environment with startx, so I wasn't starting pulseaudio automatically. Adding this to the xinitrc fixed it for me.
