Hi all.
I am using Arch + KDE (Plasma 5.20.2) on Dell XPS 13 7390, with a Roccat Kain 122 mouse.
Ever since a couple of days ago (I am not sure exactly when, but it must have started to happen in the past week), my laptop would make this subtle buzz noise whenever I move my mouse. The sound seems to come out from the keyboard area.
It doesn't make such noise when I move the cursor with the touchpad.
It is very similar to what was desribed in this post and this post. It is also very similar to this entry on Arch Wiki, but the fix mentioned there didn't solve the problem on my machine. (All of these are Dell XPS 13, but not exactly the same model).
I have already reinstalled Arch and the same problem occurs on the fresh system. I have also tried both the cutting edge kernel and the LTS one.
As a last resort, I installed Kubuntu on the same machine and the same thing doesn't happen. This is the point where I ruled it out as a purely hardware problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
EDIT: I wanted to try out whether a newer version of the kernel would help, so I switched to testing and performed a system update. My kernel is now 5.9.8 and it seems that the problem is still there.
EDIT 2: I have upgraded Kubuntu from 20.04 to 20.10 and now the problem occurs on Kubuntu too. I am guessing it might not be just an Arch issue after all.
