[SOLVED] lollypop doesn't import songs

I have changed the directory in preference tab in lollypop, but still it doesn't recognizes any songs
Also when i right click the song file and select open with lollypop, lollypop app opens but song is not shown in the app and does not play.

ya , i did sudo pacman -S lollypop

that doesn't install the optional dependencies. You probably want at least gst-plugins-good,-base,-ugly  maybe bad , libav is likely not necessary for normal audio formats.

thanks a lot!!!! this fixed the issue!
By the way pacman does install dependencies right? I saw many other packages install while installing lollypop from pacman

Yes, pacman does resolve hard (i.e. non-optional) dependencies. However, it doesn't install optional dependencies, but it does list them upon installing a package (depending on whether said package has any).
