Loud popping noise when Arch starts up

Hello! I am a relatively new Arch user (2 or 3 weeks) although not new to Linux in general. Whenever Arch starts up and shows my display manager, it is accompanied by a singular loud pop or click. This was not a problem until today, when I switched to using the LTS kernel. After switching to the LTS kernel, my computer would make a loud, short beep whenever booting into Arch with this kernel from the GRUB menu. To fix this, I followed https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PC … PC_Speaker and unloaded the PC speaker kernel module. I also followed https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GR … and_tricks to disable skip the GRUB menu unless Shift is held.

Ever since doing this, however, the loud click has happened every time Arch starts up and greets me with my display manager. My system is fully up-to-date , and I am using Ly as my display manager. Is this happening because of the LTS kernel, GRUB, Ly, or something completely different? If so, what steps can I take to get rid of the popping noise? It is extremely inconvenient when working from my laptop in public.

Check your journal "a loud, short beep whenever booting" on the pc speaker sounds like an error message.
See whether

printf '\a'

on the console (not a GUI terminal, they might do other stuff with the bell) gets you the same popping (in that case, whatever that is simply happens for the lack of the speaker)
