Error starting Openshot: "no channels" (SOLVED)

I'm using the most recent version of Openshot from the repositories. OpenShot (version 2.5.1)

When starting I get

In the log I get:

8Xsyon3.png

And I get the following in the log

preview_thread:INFO onError: no channels

If I load a project, I get no sound. I know the project is good because it's a project I used and exported before from LinuxMint using also 2.5.1 in this computer.

The only thing I can think of is some audio configuration I am missing, however, pulseaudio sound has been working well in this installation.

Any idea where should I start looking at?

Re: Error starting Openshot: "no channels" (SOLVED)

Here is the solution

Embarrassing but decided to keep the post in case someone else searches for the same problem:

After posting I noticed that the output of the test sound only referenced ALSA. So, I was about to try changing the default ALSA card when it occurred to me that probably OpenShot was trying to use the default.

I went back to OpenShot and changed the "Preview -> Playback Audio Device" to a different device, closed OpenShot and I stopped getting the error.

Hopefully this can help someone else.
