The patch has now been applied in the bluetooth next tree - https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/ke … -next.git/

so it is expected to be in 5.10?

It was added to the -next tree after Linus had completed all the feature pulls and tagged 5.10-rc1 so unless it part of a fix pull request it will be part of 5.11 then back-ported to 5.10.Y stable series.
It could be added to the Arch linux package before that,  open a bug request on the Arch bug tracker or talk to heftig on IRC.

My friend, I really appreciate your support. I just opened a bug request on the Arch bug tracker https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/68749?project=1 honestly don't know if did well because I never reported a bug before, I'd try to put all the information there

Re: [SOLVED] Bluetooth not working with rtl8822ce and kernel 5.9.1

It would be nice if this patch could be in the current arch kernel until it gets into mainline upstream. It was worthwhile putting in the arch bug report so that the  issue can be tracked within arch and linked to upstream developments.

Re: [SOLVED] Bluetooth not working with rtl8822ce and kernel 5.9.1

I have a kernel built with the patch for kernel 5.9.11 and it now allows me to power on the bluetooth radio, and my BT ear buds work fine, so for me the patch works perfectly. Hopefully it won't be long before it is included in the arch kernel and then later from upstream.

Confirming it's fixed with 5.9.11 too.

Re: [SOLVED] Bluetooth not working with rtl8822ce and kernel 5.9.1

Problem is back in 5.9.12.arch1. After some minutes of upgrading kernel and grub (and reboot) I'm not able to use bluetooth. Going back to 5.9.11-arch2-1

I haven't had a chance to test my machine - but the patch that fixed it was manually included in 5.9.11 kernel build - I thought  that the patch would then be left for future builds until it went in upstream and then the arch patch would no longer be needed.  Perhaps someone will check on what  happened.

Re: [SOLVED] Bluetooth not working with rtl8822ce and kernel 5.9.1

After updating my Ryzen 7 machine, kernel 5.9.12 still works fine with my bluetooth headset so the issue reported by apereirafernandez as still present in the latest arch kernel is presumably a different bug to the one that was fixed for me as well as many of the others who had a specific bluetooth bug related to the patch referred to by loqs.

Re: [SOLVED] Bluetooth not working with rtl8822ce and kernel 5.9.1

I updated to 5.9.11 which fixed the problem, and am now on 5.9.12, and all is still well.

I'm having a slightly different issue, and that is that when WiFi is connected, the Bluetooth mouse I use seems to get very stuttery. Tried all sorts of tricks to configure latency and poll rates to fix it, but the only thing that truly makes it go away is disconnecting the WiFi. Anyone else having similar problems, or might understand why?

I went back to 5.9.12 unable to reproduce the error (which had the same output as the error we are talking about in this post), update to 5.9.13 and still works fine
