Azureus

It would be nice to have package for Azureus, a popular Java BitTorrent client.

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

It seems a bit complicated to setup, though.

Re: Azureus

ugh, I'm going to attempt to make a package for this, it looks pretty cool.

But they're file-naming coventions are unconventional...I'm not sure how I'm going to pull that off...

Re: Azureus

alright, it will not load the pkgver variable when it tries to d/l it...   would it be wrong to just put in the pkgver manually in the URL?

Re: Azureus

Cool, thanks for the efforts! At the moment I'm still trying to use the bittorrent package in extra. I think something major went wrong with that "user interface".

Re: Azureus

I have made the package, sorry for the delay. I will be putting it up shortly.

Ok, the package is up now, i messed up on the dependencies, so use the azurues-2.0.8.4.tgz and no azureus-2.0.8.4.tar.gz (admin please remove the latter).

Re: Azureus

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but how do I actually get this package? "pacman -Sy azureus"
finds nothing. Is there a server I have to add to pacman.conf? If so, what?

Thanks in advance for not yelling at me. smile

Re: Azureus

It's probably not been added to the main tree yet. God knows when that will happen.
So I guess you'll just have to wait.
Keep a look out on the main page, or harass someone until they add it. heh

Re: Azureus

ftp to archlinux.org and then go into incoming/ and retrieve the package azureus-2.0.8.4.tgz. then untar that file and move into the azureus directory. you have the choice of either making the package using 'makepkg' or you can just install the premade package with pacman -A.

For exact instructions do:

ftp
open archlinux.org
cd incoming/
get azureus-2.0.8.4.tgz
tar -xvzf azureus-2.0.8.4.tgz
cd azureus-2.0.8.4/
(now you can either make the package)
makepkg
(or you can install the existing package)
pacman -A azurues-2.0.8.4-1.pkg.tar.gz

It seems the .tgz one has been removed from incoming and I can't extract the current .tar.gz file (it complains about an unexpected EOF). sad

Re: Azureus

well, you better hope someone else grabbed it, because i just reformatted my / partition due to some block errors on it (what a waste of a day). So i lost the PKGBUILD i wrote as well as the package itself. And i do not have the time to do it again, sorry. Good Luck.[/img]
