HI,
I follow fprintd wiki guide to use fingerprint scanner on login with lightdm as well as sudo in terminal. However, it doesn't work. I use xfce4 on X1C7 with default polkit-gnome.
I tried to install Fedora 33 and the finger scanner worked flawlessly. So it is not firmware issue. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I figured it out. The arch wiki suggested to put in pam_d conf files
auth sufficient pam_unix.so try_first_pass likeauth nullok
auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so
I switched the order and it worked great.
auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so
