Occasional screen flicker on 1440p 144Hz Display

Hi all,

I've got myself a new monitor, an LG 27GL850 2560*1440 capable of going to 144Hz. However every so often (10-60min.) The upper third of the screen turns black which I guess would be a single frame or very close to it. GPU is an Nvidia 1660 Super and system is up to date.

Not sure where to start looking for the source, so here are some gathered settings:

Gnome settings, display at native resolution and 143.97Hz which is the highest option.

DisplayPort connection, G-Sync active according to nvidia-settings

Re: Occasional screen flicker on 1440p 144Hz Display

After searching high and low:

https://linustechtips.com/topic/1235675 … 660-super/

Seems to be a 1660 Super issue.

Maybe you could try, reading the solution in the forum you shared, https://gitlab.com/leinardi/gwe to increase the working frequency of the card.
