System does not want my password VM

I have 6 installations of Arch linux in VM.
Base
E24
XFCE
deepin
gnome
kde
I use them only for updating nothing more, standard Arch and DE's to see how long they will last till break On HW I use i3. I just want to see other DE sometimes.
I update those every Sunday or Saturday, today I wanted to check something in Gnome but I can not use sudo password it says it is wrong password but I know it is not I use on all those machines 2424 as a password, I loaded KDE and XFCE and password works, so not an Arch problem but Gnome? I can log in and out (I have automatic login too) but can not login as sudo su, or do anything sudo related is says wrong password after three attempts.
I just wonder what went wrong in updates last Saturday.
BTW I use debian testing and there sddm broke
Yeah it is VM so who cares, curiosity.

Have you been merging your .pacnew files?

No I just hit pacman -Syu let it finish and then shut down

Yeah I know it will break sometimes it is part of my testing I am not here to complain   but why this did not happen in other Arch installations what I have?

He I logout/login few times, let it lock the screen, restart and it works now, is that possible?
