Bluetooth is weak/fails if headphones are far from device

Hello everyone

I am having trouble with a poor connection between my headphones (35QC Bose) and my laptop (MacBookPro12,1 1.0), using Bluetooth. More specifically, I can connect them and listen to sound, but the sound skips and there are random disconnects (it automatically reconnects after a few seconds). If the headphones are more than 1/2 meter from the device, the connection breaks down almost completely.
If I dual boot into my MacOs system I don't have any issues.

This is how I connect my headphones.

I tried going through these two arch wiki sites:

But I could not find my issue there; I have tried 'Bad sound / Static noise / "Muddy" sound' and  'Connecting works, sound plays fine until headphones become idle, then stutters' without success.

I will provide my journalctl , even though I'm not sure it will help.
This is my first post
