I'm trying to create VCDs of some wedding pictures for distribution. It looked like digikam was the answer, but it errored out:

EXIT STATUS : error during encoding process.I was using the "create mpeg slideshow" feature using VCD format and NTSC. It seemed pretty straightforward after loading necessary packages (mjpegtools, imagemagick, digikamimageplugins, kipi-plugins). Well, maybe all those aren't necessary. Am I missing something or is there another route I could go to accomplish this?
Also, I have an upcoming project to convert xvid clips to VCD, if anyone has any suggestions.

Bump :oops: Hate to do this.
I'm thinking of trying VideoLinux alpha release to see if there are any other toys there. I'll post again if anything comes of it.
