VBoxClient not working with Wayland for Arch Plasma install on Vbox VM

At the sddm login page, I have two possible options - Plasma (Wayland) and Plasma. The former is for a wayland session whereas the later is for a X11 session.

I can see "/usr/binVBoxClient -all" being executed by both sessions. However, the functionality provided (seamless mode, drag and drop, shared clipboard) dont seem to be working on wayland session. Is this expected ?

I am bit curious to understand how this works. Appreciate any pointers. Thanks.

This may be a bug in plasma wayland or, more likely, Virtualbox, as I am unfamiliar with Arch running in a virtual machine can you please state your host machine and all possible logs. Also note that if these are bugs with either KDE upstream or Virtualbox upstream.

I'm almost certain that all of these things you mention are expected to not work. A lot of things that were provided as a service by xorg need to be reimplemented and exposed by Wayland compositors (... and used by VirtualBox) none of which I'd assume to be the case here.
