Screen glitch and abrupt freezing

I just installed Arch Linux for the first time today on my physical machine ( installed it once before on VirtualBox to try it out) and despite a few small issues, it's been smooth sailing so far.

However, the system seems to abruptly freeze and screen glitches occur randomly. I say its random because sometimes it happens right after I login, and sometimes after 2 hrs or so of normal usage.

So far I've installed xf86-intel-video and mesa packages.

I assume there are some additional packages I have yet to install, but I'm new to this so I'd like some help from you guys.

My machine:
Dell XPS 13 7390
Intel UHD Graphics
16 GB RAM
1 TB storage

2. Consider what what display manager and DE you have installed.

3. If you still cannot solve, then provide applicable details here.

Try using the modesetting driver instead of xf86-intel-video (see the Note in Intel graphics Wiki). It should just be a matter of uninstalling xf86-intel-video and rebooting, unless you have made manual hard-coded references to the driver in your configuration.
