[SOLVED] Screen tearing after kernel update

I've been having this screen tearing problem since I updated kernel to 5.9 several months ago.
I tried to roll back to the previous kernel and the problem was gone. But the problem stays with all the newer kernels afterward.
The problem occurs at the login screen every time I boot my PC and stays after login. But if I  lock the screen after login (which will also darken the screen) and re-activate the screen, the screen will return to normal.

Does anyone have any idea what might be the cause of this problem?
