[SOLVED] Spyder - missing dependencies - spyder_kernels

Every time I start "Spyder", I get this message:

You have missing dependencies!

# Mandatory:
spyder_kernels >=1.9.4;<1.10.0 : 1.10.0 (NOK)

Is there something I am missing?

The message says "you've installed spyder_kernels 1.10.0, but I need a version lower than (<) 1.10.0", doesn't it?
spyder package in official repo seems a little bit older than latest (4.2.1).

Message is a bit confusing first says you need >=1.9.4 which I do have.

and then it gives a ; and then says <1.10.0 : 1.10.0 , whatever that means. There is no way to turn this notification off?

I think it just says: I need version such that 1.9.4 <= version < 1.10.0, I have found 1.10.0 which is not ok (NOK).
Do you have 1.10.0?

I'm afraid there aren't such options. One makeshift I've come up with is using ugly bootstrap snippet like below that fakes library version, instead of `/usr/bin/spyder`.

#!/usr/bin/python
import spyder_kernels
from spyder.app import start

spyder_kernels.__version__ = '1.9.4'
start.main()

yeah, I have "spyder kernels 1.10.0" which is what we get by default from pacman and there is no alternative for that in official repos. I guess I have to live with this warning for now.

UPDATE Dec 26th, 2020: Just upgraded Arch Linux (pacman -Syu) because a new version of Spyder was available. This solved the problem.
