I would like to restructure the bcache wiki article [1], like suggested on the talk page [2], and add notes on using btrfs on top of bcache, and howto replace drives that have died without data loss.
Is it OK to do these edits in-place, or is more maintainable to write the new structure below the original content, move/copy the original content into the new structure, and finally remove the old structure?

Either do it in place, or copy the entire page to a subpage of your user like e.g. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Us … wartz/Grub while you are WIP working on it.
Having basically duplicated content on the "live" page will likely be confusing.

In place or with a draft, it's up to you, but indeed if you choose to make a draft, a subpage of your User is more suitable, like V1del wrote. In both cases, please respect the 3 rules, which, in the case of the draft method, means merging it step by step once it's ready, not in a single big change.
