Hello,
I bought a Logitech G Pro Headset, wich has a microphone and an external soundcard.
When I use the external soundcard (it is USB), the microphone sounds really good (it uses a thing called "Blue Voice") but I can hear the microphone on my headset, and if I up the sound at its maximum, it saturates. It doesn't happen when I use the jack splitter. I use PulseAudio as sound system.
How can I have both the good microphone and headset quality ? I'm new to Linux and I don't really know how to resolve this alone.

Likely a config issue, and yes jack splitter quality is likely to generally be bad in comparison.

I found this question while trying to fix the issue myself. After searching a bit more I found out that that behaviour is called "sidetone" and is something that is enabled by default in many gaming headsets. Some models have it hardwired, but others -including this particular model- can enable or disable it via software. I found this askubuntu.com answer that points to a Linux software that can be used to configure the sidetone feature: https://askubuntu.com/a/733328
I have used it successfully to set the sidetone to 0, effectively disabling it.
