missing application icons in top bar

I ran a command from SO something like `gnome-shell --replace` and now my icons are missing when i open apps. and also the left app bar doesn't appear anymore when I mouse over there.

When I click the "Activities" menu the sidebar shows but icons are huge.

Re: missing application icons in top bar

gnome-shell --replace on it's own should not have any lasting consequences, this shouldn't be a general issue and fixed by a reboot if push comes to shove. Otherwise did you try to implement something regarding HIDPI?

If that's not it you need to provide more details about your setup or which actual command you've executed, best a link to the relevant SO page. How did you install Arch Linux?

Re: missing application icons in top bar

it seems to have disabled extensions. I had to manually re-enable them.
