fingerprint cancel

Hi,

I have fingerprint authentication for sudo if I press enter on a blank password, but if I see I've made a typo I usually do ctrl+c on the password. With the fingerprint authentication enabled, though, it brings me to the fingerprint authentication instead of cancelling the command. Is there any way to have ctrl+c stop the authentication totally?

ctrl-u usually deletes the password input
