Kde Plasma: Can't set alternative shortcut for Keyboard Layouts

Hi
After removing Gnome and Cinnamon desktops and installing Kde plasma, I can't set the alternative shortcut for keyboard layout switching in kde settings menu. after clicking on the shortcut box nothing happens and it won't record the shortcut to be saved.
I don't wanna use the advanced options because setting Win+Space won't work with my layouts. (US, Persian)
here is the output of setxkbmap -query -print -verbose

Trying to build keymap using the following components:
keycodes:   evdev+aliases(qwerty)
types:      complete
compat:     complete
symbols:    pc+us+ir:2+inet(evdev)
geometry:   pc(pc104)
xkb_keymap {
        xkb_keycodes  { include "evdev+aliases(qwerty)" };
        xkb_types     { include "complete"      };
        xkb_compat    { include "complete"      };
        xkb_symbols   { include "pc+us+ir:2+inet(evdev)"        };
        xkb_geometry  { include "pc(pc104)"     };
};
rules:      evdev
model:      pc104
layout:     us,ir

contents of /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/

[amir@myArchL ~]$ ls /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/
10-optimus-manager.conf  20-intel.conf

I don't have any .xinitrc or .xprofile in my home directory
and here is the content of /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc

[amir@myArchL ~]$ cat /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
#!/bin/sh

userresources=$HOME/.Xresources
usermodmap=$HOME/.Xmodmap
sysresources=/etc/X11/xinit/.Xresources
sysmodmap=/etc/X11/xinit/.Xmodmap

# merge in defaults and keymaps

if [ -f $sysresources ]; then

    xrdb -merge $sysresources

fi

if [ -f $sysmodmap ]; then
    xmodmap $sysmodmap
fi

if [ -f "$userresources" ]; then

    xrdb -merge "$userresources"

fi

if [ -f "$usermodmap" ]; then
    xmodmap "$usermodmap"
fi

# start some nice programs

if [ -d /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d ] ; then
 for f in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/?*.sh ; do
  [ -x "$f" ] && . "$f"
 done
 unset f

Re: Kde Plasma: Can't set alternative shortcut for Keyboard Layouts

after clicking on the shortcut box nothing happens and it won't record the shortcut to be saved

What shortcut do you try to enter?

In case it's the other way round and you're somehow trying to bind "win+space" to some other shortctut, don't.
You can eg. bind a shortcut to "xdotool key Mode_switch" (uppercase "M"!)

Thanks for replying! I checked the system log and found out:

12/31/20 10:31 AM	systemsettings5	kf.guiaddons: Cannot record without a window

Searching for the error shows that it's a bug in plasma and is patched about a week ago, but apparently it's not upstream in arch yet.
