LiveUSB Android Tether Support

My computer is unable to connect to my router via ethernet cable and my wifi adapter is not supported out of the box (and requires dkms to install the driver). When installing other distros I've USB-tethered my phone to get the necessary installing done, but it doesn't seem to work with Arch. Any idea of what to do?

Did you run dhcpcd on the interface your phone turns up as?
