exo-preferred-applications gone?

I've noticed after upgrading exo that i wasn't able to run some programs. As it turned out, 'exo-preferred-applications' seems to have been removed from the exo package since the last update.

Has it been moved somewhere else or just removed? I couldn't find any info on this in xfce's changelog.

Re: exo-preferred-applications gone?

Thanks for the pointer, exactly what i was looking for. Just a thought, shouldn't the current exo package at least refer to 'xfce4-settings' as an optional dependency?

Re: exo-preferred-applications gone?

xfce4-settings requires exo. I'm not clear on the relationship between the two as I use neither.

Re: exo-preferred-applications gone?

exo is often used standalone on lightweight installs (openbox in this case). It was able to provide functionality on its own, but that is now split. As such, i thought it would be an idea to inform the user.

You can always open a bug report and ask the maintainer to consider it.
