Intense colors in Konsole no longer works after a December-ish update

Hello.

I've been using KDE and Konsole for many years now and after I updated the system in December sometime the colors produced in Konsole for commands like 'ls' are using the wrong colors.
It seems like the 'intense' color is not applied, however the bolding of the same text seems to be working, so Konsole does recognize it as 'intense'. This is using the default 'Linux Colors' scheme and it makes
reading blue directory colors for instance harder on the default black background.

Has anyone else noticed this? And I guess it's a bug in konsole?

After doing another search of the kde bug system I found this which appears to be the issue in case someone else is annoyed by this as well:

It seems to be fixed for the next release (2020.12.1).
