Re: How make, that worh 'Num Lock', then computer turn on?

My '/opt/kde/share/config/kdm/Xsetup':

#! /bin/sh
# Xsetup - run as root before the login dialog appears

#xconsole -geometry 480x130-0-0 -notify -verbose -fn fixed -exitOnFail -file /dev/xconsole &
numlockx on

But not work 'Num Lock' on KDE startup.

Re: How make, that worh 'Num Lock', then computer turn on?

make sure you have numlockx installed. then, the latter only work if you use kdm (works fine here). for kde itself, there's such a setting, in kcontrol (kde control center). then, if i remember correctly, go to "peripherals", "keyboard" and you should be able to find it there (or is it "system administration", "login manager" ?)

aaaaand if you use slim, you can just uncomment numlock on in the /etc/slim.conf file, but i guess you don't use slim with kde, right? wink

but anyway, it's another way of turning on numlock.

Also,
>>Control Center
  >>Peripherals
    >>Keyboard
      >>NumLock on KDE startup
Activate Radio button next to "Turn ON"

This issue has been solved by an update to X.org 7.1
