[SOLVED]stuck at startx

i tried everything on archwiki and also tried stuff from previous forum questions but nothing seems to work.. im new here so excuse my typing.
i tried reinstalling the xorg server n xorg itself but that won't work, i also copied xinitrc file to home directory

i dnt know how to use ssh so, sorry.
solution:
I had to tweak the configuration file to use my integrated gpu instead of the dedicated gpu because its drivers weren't installed. Thank you everyone for your help

Why are you starting it with sudo?

im doin it with normal user but i tried both and both ain't working, before it worked with sudo but now sure what happened, it stopped working totally

Stop using sudo for things that have no business being ran with sudo. It's not a "fix my problem" auto shot tool and can have system breaking consequences if used improperly.

startx belongs into the category of tools that you never run as sudo. That said there's no information in your post that could be used to help you. What kind of system is this, which hardware and which drivers did you install, can you post a xorg log and a

sudo journalctl -b

Which instructions did you follow to install the system?

Apart from running startx as sudo which is a big nono.

Since your running startx from tty4 and by default X runs on tty1, what happend when you switch to tty1?
Do you have X or do you see an error in which case what is the error?

Also provide your ".xinitrc" please if you don't see a desktop at tty1 after 'startx' (as user).

A tty is a terminal session. You can be logged into multiple sessions at once or have different users logged in to one system simultaneously on different tty's.

The easy way to switch between different tty's is the [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Fx] Key combination, x being the tty number. For example, to switch to tty2 use: [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[F2]

Also please use correct spelling and punctuation to make your questions readable. These forums are a lasting resource for others to research problems and it very much helps everyone if you do not use text message abbreviated spelling.

oh okay, will take care of abbreviations.
also i tried using different ttys even though i didn't know what they were, but still it won't work
