Solution: it must’ve been memory related because earlyoom fixed it.
I've used Arch on several machines with similar setups for a while now, but one in particular shuts down suddenly. Screen goes black and everything shuts off like it lost power or something. CPU RAM and temperature don't appear particularly high when it happens, though I can't confirm.
Mostly... I don't know how to properly check the logs to see what's going on, apparently (facepalm).
When I boot it back up and do journalctl --since '10 minutes ago' (for example) the timestamps seem to jump to the next boot. So I'm probably checking logs wrong.
Here's a recent output as an example. It happens almost every day, usually when I'm doing voice chat, sometimes if opening a lot of tabs, and once in a while not doing anything demanding at all.
1. What's the right way to check logs next time this happens?
2. Any info I can provide now or check on that could help solve the problem?
