Hello there! I have been on Arch Linux for a few weeks now (about a month), and I have been having high power consumption. With Discord, Telegram, a few Firefox tabs including Netflix but closing Netflix doesn't change much, and using KDE with 5 virtual desktops (3 in use), I am having a power consumption of 20.84 watts according to the energy tab of the info center and powertop. I manually started TLP though it should start automatically anyways after unplugging. I often have a consumption of 30 watts.
Some relevant information:
I am on the linux-lts kernel.
I am using bluetooth but it isn't an option to turn it off as I don't have any good wired earbuds.
My laptop has Vega 10 graphics and a Ryzen 7 Pro 3700U.

I presume you installed the linux-firmware package? How about the CPU µcode? Not sure if there are any fixes for third generation Ryzen though.

Idk what is up because in the energy section of the info center it is reporting consumption as 0.71 watts. Right now I am watching something on VLC and these are the top power consumers:

I'd also not expect this to be out of the ordinary if you are actively watching a video. What's the consumption while "idle"? What consumption do you expect with the workload you are generating? I.e. do you have any other points of reference that this should be lower?

Closed the video tab and consumption is still at around 20 watts. The advertised battery life on Windows is far higher than this, and I had the impression you could get close to Windows battery.

I have an E485 and the advertised battery life on Windows for that is complete bollocks. I get about the same battery life under Windows, GNU/Linux and OpenBSD but none of them are anywhere near the claims.
