[SOLVED]KDE Ethernet does not connect

Hi

My WiFi is working perfectly fine, but my wired ethernet connection does not work.

I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon 4th Gen laptop, which is connected to a Lenovo OneLink+ docking station. Network card is Intel I219-LM with the e1000e driver.

After startup, eth0 shows as down. If you do ip set link eth0 up it changes it's state to UNKNOWN, but does still not connect. Also adding the connection manually to the NetworkManager did not help.

I checked that dhcpcd service is disabled and NetworkManager enabled.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Best, Phros

EDIT: I was able to solve the problem by simply unplug the AC power from the dock and plug it in again after a some seconds. Ethernet connection was established immediately afterwards.

Your solution also worked for my ThinkPad Yoga 260 with ethernet connection via OneDock+.

Thanks for posting, really helpful!
