I am trying to setup a multi-monitor display on my new install. The HDMI monitor seems to render without any flickering before I execute the first startx of the systems uptime. There is no flickering on the displayport monitor. These monitors are sharing the same graphics card. It is also worth noting that the screen seems to persist images after the Xorg session has been killed and even leaves them embedded in the monitor after the HDMI is unplugged. It is also worth noting that the monitor works fine when running Windows 10.
Kernel:
Linux 5.10.7-zen1-1-zen
Relevant Packages:
xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.16-2
mesa 20.3.3-1
xorg-server 1.20.10-3
xorg-xinit 1.4.1-3
xmonad 0.15-92
Troubleshooting Performed:
Single monitor displayport, no problems
Single monitor HDMI, flickering (baseline bad)
Setting refresh rate to 60.00 with xrandr, flickering (baseline bad)
Setting refresh rate to 75.00 with xrandr, flickering (slightly better)
Changing resolution from 2560x1080 to 1920x1080 with xrandr, (flickering just noticeable)
Disabled picom, no change
Output of xrandr

Please use code tags, not quote tags, for shell output.
Did you try
a) the modesetting driver (drop xf86-video-nouveau)
b) the nvidia blob
Also please elaborate on the nature of the "flickering" - is it tearing or do you get intermittent black frames, do you see the last image in a forth and back, what frequency does it flicker at, …

The flickering contains intermittent black frames, and the frequency seems to vary with the monitor's resolution. 1920x1080 seems to be a lot "clearer" than 2560x1080. I have tried the NVIDIA drivers and they seem to lock up my system and prevent booting into Arch. I will try the modesetting later, after I figure out how to do that.

Unlikely, please post your xorg log and the output of lspci.
after I figure out how to do that
drop xf86-video-nouveau
That means to remove the package.
