Error creating filesystem

I'm having a problem on the Setting Filesystem Mountpoints step. I follow the directions, but once I am finished, it gives me the error 

Error Creating filesystem: mke2fs /dev/hda1

This is of course on /dev/hda1, which I want as my /boot partition. I made sure to set the mountpoint to /boot, and selected the ext2 filesystem for it. I receive no errors on any other partition.

My partition layout is as follows...

/dev/hda1         /boot         32MB
/dev/hda2         /               10240MB
/dev/hda3         /               10240MB
/dev/hda4             (extended)
/dev/hda5         swap          2048MB
/dev/hda6         /home        (all space left)

If it makes a difference, I am using Arch64. Just for the record, the reason I have two / partitions is because I plan on using one for Arch64 and the other for Arch i686 (dual-boot).

I would really appreciate any help

I'm sure the installer has no clue how to cope with two / mountpoints. You'd better make partitions and filesystems before entering the installer and just assign mountpoints afterwards.

When you set the mountpoints , just leave out the other root partition

Sorry, I don't think I made my post clear enough. The partition layout I posted was what I PLANNED. When I actually set the mountpoints I only set ONE / partition. The other partition (/dev/hda3) I did nothing to.

I don't know what the problem was, because I tryed it again, and it worked successfully this time. I didn't change anything, but whatever. It's working now

these weird errors are usually caused by the fs being in use or engaged in some way,, even if umount returns without error... i know.. it's weird..
