Hello,
I've installed Arch Linux recently and I can't get my second monitor to work fine.
First I can achieve dual monitor only when Xorg uses intel driver from xf86-video-intel, then to get display working I must plug the monitor after Xorg and session started. If the HDMI was already plugged, I must unplug and plug back the HDMI cable.
Finally, when the display works, if I go to settings or run xrandr command the display stop working.
My laptop is Nvidia Optimus enabled, and I use optimus-manager as switching method. I use Gnome as desktop environment.
Here's the output of lspci -v | grep -EA10 "VGA|3D" : https://pastebin.com/KBBuy1SX
and the Xorg.conf generated by optimus-manager : https://pastebin.com/0kNzY7Se
I would get monitor works fine at least when using intel driver.
Thank you.

I've tried with another monitor and it works perfectly now.
I think the problem was the old monitor does not send edid info to computer.
