mailman3 throws errors on start

Hi,

I have installed mailman3 & am trying to get it going but i am facing an issue while starting the service: Logs messages are:

cat /var/log/mailman/mailman.log
Master started
command failure: /usr/sbin/postmap /var/lib/mailman/data/postfix_lmtp, 1, Operation not permitted
command failure: /usr/sbin/postmap /var/lib/mailman/data/postfix_domains, 1, Operation not permitted
Master watcher caught SIGTERM.  Exiting.
Master stopped

Just to test I gave all rw permission to the dir /var/lib/mailman/data/ but still it is throwing errors. Dir permissions are:
drwxrwxrwx 2 mailman root 4.0K Jan 22 12:22 /var/lib/mailman/data/

Also, I wanted to use command telnet but don't know which package to install.

Need your help.

Much Thanks.

Re: mailman3 throws errors on start

Did you follow the installation procedure, configured correctly the postfix for Mailman and databases, such as described on https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mailman?
When configuring, keep an eye on the notes

Mailman runs as a dedicated mailman user, therefore any calls to the mailman executable have to be done as the mailman user.

What for did you wanted to use telnet?

Re: mailman3 throws errors on start

I had that problem too and I think I've solved it by changing/removing the RestrictAddressFamilies option in mailman's unit file at /usr/lib/systemd/system/mailman3.service. The settings there seem to be overly aggressive.
