KDE/Plasma w/ multiple monitors: outdated screenhots

Hi all.
My current setup uses KDE/Plasma fully updated on a laptop.
I attached a USB 3.0 docking station with an extra HDMI port to drive an external monitor to "extend" my laptop screen.
It all works!
I just noticed that when I take a screenshot with spectacle (triggered via keyboard shortcut) the picture taken is "outdated" when compared to the actual screen.
It's missing a popup or a new image in a web browser and the likes.
Is this a bug or could it be due to my specific setup (especially the USB docking station)?
