Folder /etc/audit/rules.d is missing, can I simply create it as root?

According to this https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Au … d_messages, there should be a /etc/audit/rules.d folder, but it does not exist on my system.
Can I simply create it as root using mkdir or is it a symptom that something is not correctly configured on my system?

Currently this folder isn't part of audit package so it's ok to create it manually. Feature request for adding this folder in package may be good idea.
